Born in England, Jessica began life as a very young pianist – aged just 2 years old – and continued to study privately until she entered the Junior Department at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with a scholarship from the Wolfson Foundation when 15 years old. At 17 years old, she was offered a scholarship by the school to study both Voice and Piano, but after a year or two made the decision to concentrate on singing as her main instrument.
On completing her undergraduate degree, she returned to the Guildhall to study for a Masters degree, assisted with a generous scholarship from the Boris Karloff Charitable Foundation and the Guildhall School.
Jessica has worked with Graham Johnson, Malcolm Martineau, Martin Katz, Yvonne Kenny, Paul Kiesgen, Richard Jackson and Robin Bowman. Her teachers include David Pollard, Iain Kennedy, Adrian Johnson and the late Johanna Peters.
